Although I was born in Oklahoma, my family moved to Texas when I was a toddler, and since I have no memory of my life before then, I claim to be a Texan. We can argue that point over chips & queso if you'd like. 

 

I married my high school sweetheart, James, just as soon as we could feasibly pretend to be adults, then earned my bachelor's degree in Psychology from Dallas Baptist University (2009). I worked part-time on staff with a local ministry serving foster & adoptive families from 2008-2012. I stepped away from that ministry while James & I were foster parents for about 5yrs, during which time we adopted one of our children. I came on staff at Rhea's Mill in 2016, first helping with social media, then eventually building our website and running our app. I love helping people get connected with our incredible church!

 

If you can't find me driving my six children to all of their activities in my 15 passenger van, you might find me listening to nerdy podcasts while eating a barbacoa bowl at Chipotle and texting pictures of my plants to my friends.
